Meet Our Elders
The role of an Elder (a.k.a. Shepherd, Bishop, or Pastor) is an Overseer of God's people (Acts 20:28). The expectations are high (Titus 1:6-9 and 1 Timothy 3:1-7) and the NYC Church of Christ currently has six men in this position.
Larry Craig became a Christian in Colorado and lives in New Jersey with his wife, Mary Lou, of 47 years. He works in the full-time ministry and they have three children and nine grandchildren.
Al Baker became a Christian in California and lives in Manhattan with his wife, Glenda, of 30 years. He is a Director of M&A in Corporate Finance and they have one son.
Lewis Livingstone became a Christian in Florida and lives in New Jersey with his wife, Tosan, of 10 years. He is a Project Manager and they have four children and three grandchildren.
Kevin Finnerty became a Christian in New York City and lives in the Bronx with his wife, Andee, of almost 30 years. He is a physics teacher and they have two daughters.
Mark Sanders became a Christian in Rhode Island and lives in Rockland County with his wife, Fiona, of almost 30 years. He is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and they have two sons.
Cedric Bao-as became a Christian in New York City. He is a registered nurse and has one son.
