Lawanna TwaitesForever grateful for the NYC Church of Christ... Baptism.... March, 1984... just a short time after you all got there! Steven Leslie Johnson was out of town so Mike was leading the first bible talk that I went to. I am Still holding on and looking to make disciples. Just met a couple and had them over on January 1..... no greater joy than pleasing God. Reading now: “Not a Fan!” Thank you Mike. Thank you Lisa....A special thanks to Jean-Marie Poisson who shared his faith with me. Thank you Ann Peden, thank you Dave David Peden, thank you Andee Finerty (Kevin Finnerty). So many wonderful and grateful memories. It’s so comforting to know that our work in the Lord is never in vain!

Regional Leadership

Meet Our Elders

The role of an Elder (a.k.a. Shepherd, Bishop, or Pastor) is an Overseer of God's people (Acts 20:28). The expectations are high (Titus 1:6-9 and 1 Timothy 3:1-7) and the NYC Church of Christ currently has six men in this position. Larry Craig became a Christian in Colorado and lives in New Jersey with his wife, Mary Lou, of 47 years. He works in the full-time ministry and they have three children and nine grandchildren. Al Baker became a Christian in California and lives in Manhattan with his wife, Glenda, of 30 years. He is a Director of M&A in Corporate Finance and they have one son. Lewis Livingstone became a Christian in Florida and lives in New Jersey with his wife, Tosan, of 10 years. He is a Project Manager and they have four children and three grandchildren. Kevin Finnerty became a Christian in New York City and lives in the Bronx with his wife, Andee, of almost 30 years. He is a physics teacher and they have two daughters. Mark Sanders became a Christian in Rhode Island and lives in Rockland County with his wife, Fiona, of almost 30 years. He is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and they have two sons. Cedric Bao-as became a Christian in New York City and lives in Queens with his wife, Faith Mae, of almost 30 years. He is a registered nurse and they have one son.
